In case of elderly people, I.e. people who are over the age of 65 years, 100mg of Modafinil is usually prescribed in a day. For the treatment of shift work sleep disorder, the medicine needs to be taken 1 hour prior to work.

Every medicine has got side effects. These occur not in all but in some depending on the way the medicine is consumed. If you notice any side effect in the body, stop the medications right away and consult your doctor immediately. Some of the known side effects are:
