Feeling sleepy or unable to focus on a daily basis? Try Modvigil!

As you scan around the room, you will probably find a number of people yawning or maybe nodding. This has become a trend in today’s date as the people hardly have any time for their health or well being of any kind. As such we need some medium so that the brain can be active and awake all day.

The medium stated are Smart Drugs or Nootropic compounds. These meds are basically cognitive enhancers that help in the gradual increased brain activity. Modafinil is perhaps the most popular smart drug compound available in the smart drug market today. In the 1970s the Modafinil smart drug compound was used for the treatment of Narcolepsy, sleep apnea, etc in France. As time passed however, the people looked at the other visible effects of the smart drug Modafinil. There have been other effects of the smart drug as well, like mood elevation, reduction of fatigue, etc.

As already known, the generic version of any medication gives rise to many brand versions. Modafinil is no exception. There are the following well known brand versions of Modafinil; Provigil, Modalert, and the smart drug we will talk about today: Modvigil.

Modvigil is one of the brand versions of Modafinil. It is manufactured by HAB Pharma, India. Much like its parent compound, Modafinil, Modvigil is also approved by the FDA for the purpose of cognitive enhancement and wakefulness purposes. Let us now see as to how Modafinil acts in the body.

Modafinil smart drug compound in the Modvigil smart drug first stimulates the Orexin (or Hypocretin receptors) namely, OX1 and OX2 in the body. After this the compound now activates the Orexin peptide, which makes the user feel his/ her first wave of wakefulness. Now the compound acts on the neurotransmitter Dopamine. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter in the body that is produced in the Hypothalamus of the brain and is responsible for the wakefulness, cognition, and the mood of the individual. The reuptake of this neurotransmitter is inhibited that causes a pool of Dopamine to be formed in the vicinity of the reuptake point. This excess of Dopamine that is collected is used by the body for its uses during the day. Other hormones like Norepinephrine, Histamine, Serotonin are also increased.

The functions of these increased hormones are:
  • Norepinephrine: Promotes wakefulness and elevates heart rate
  • Histamine: Regulates the sleep cycle
  • Serotonin: Regulates mood, useful for memory, useful for creation of new neurons [Neurogenesis].
Let us now look at the basic uses of the smart drug Modalert:
  • It is a cognitive enhancer that helps us in increasing our brain activity by the increase of the hormones and neurotransmitters.
  • It also helps the user in staying awake and active.
  • Various sleeping disorders are also treated with this smart drug.
  • The smart drug also helps in the reduction of depression and fatigue.

Modvigil is one of the best known medications for the treatment of sleeping disorders, cognitive enhancement, wakefulness, etc. As such proper precautions should be maintained that can help in the proper growth of the user cognitively as well as mentally.
