- · Take the pills with water either before your meal time or after it. If you take it after food, the effects might get a little delayed.
- · For people who have muscle spasm may take this pain med about four times a day which includes once before bedtime. The dosage recommended for such people is 250-350 mg.
- · Take this pain medication for the duration prescribed by your doctor which is generally not more than 2-3 weeks. Avoid taking the tablets for longer than that duration.
- · Before taking this pain medication, you must provide your doctor with complete details on your medical history and the drugs that you are currently using. Such drugs can have harmful interactions with this pain medication. Such drugs may include prescribed products, non-prescribed products, recreational drugs, dietary drugs, nutritional drugs, herbal treatments, illegal drugs, vitamins etc.
- · Those people who have porphyria should not use this pain medication at all. If you have a prior problem of substance use disorder (alcoholism or drug addiction), then you should inform your doctor about it. Carisoprodol can be quite addictive. So avoid sharing it with such people and avoid taking it without talking to a doctor about your substance use disorder (if any). It is against the law to share or sell this pain medication with other people.
What should you do is you miss a dose?
Generally, nobody forgets to take a pain reliever. But in
case you do forget to take a dose, you may take it as you remember but make
sure there is sufficient time for the next scheduled dose. If it is already
time for your next dose, you must not take the pill. In such a case, skip it
and return back to your usual Soma dosing routine. Also, you must not ever
consume an extra pill to make up for the missed dose.
