Waklert
is a prescription drug used to reduce extreme sleepiness and tiredness in
people. It has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat
excessive sleepiness in people with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep
apnea, and shift work sleep disorder. It is said to have a mood-brightening
effect and helps in keeping a mind active, alert and well-functioning. This drug should, however, not be used to
hold off sleep or to reduce tiredness in people with no sleeping disorder.
Generic name: Armodafinil
Active ingredients: Armodafinil
Inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, croscarmellose
sodium, magnesium stearate, povidone and pregelatinized starch.
HOW TO USE WAKLERT?
The diagnosis of your medical condition will determine how
much and when you should consume. Therefore, have a check-up with a doctor
before taking this medication. Given below are general guidelines for you to
follow while consuming this pill:
• A standard dosage
is 150 mg of this medication to be taken orally with or without food.
• People with
narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea can take this pill early in the morning.
• People working in
shifts, especially night shifts, can take it an hour before the start of the
shift. Those who work in rotational shifts must consult with a doctor regarding
the dosage and time of consumption.
• Do not take it
with alcohol or any other such substances like marijuana. Otherwise, it might
lead to some dangerous side effects.
• Store it in a dry
place at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. Keep
it in a sealed box in a secured place so that no children or animal can reach
it.
IMPORTANT POINTS
• Armodafinil may
be addictive. So, avoid its misuse. Otherwise, it would lead to some very
dangerous outcomes. Never share it with any other person, especially one with a
history of drug addiction.
• It might make you
feel a bit dizzy or light-headed. Avoid such activities that require you to be
mentally alert like driving at least until you can safely perform them.
• It is not known
whether Armodafinil can harm an unborn baby. Consult a doctor before taking

• Also, it is

blistering rashes
